Wie’s Bang? Van Coke Kartel
Brief: “Wie’s Bang?” The comic was the brainchild of art director Marais Janse van Rensburg who approached artists like Marchand, Shaun Hill, Lohan Grobler and myself to draw the exquisite corpse style narrative between four volumes, released in anticipation of their 2011 album “Wie’s Bang?” Subsequently the project has won a craft certificate at the Loeries.
Hier Kom Nou Kak! Jack Parow
Brief: Marais Janse Van Rensburg and Adam Wittert conceptualized a comic book activation for Jack Parow’s sponsorship from Cactus Jack. The story, written by Hunter Kennedy and Adam Wittert, revolved around a time travelling Jack Parow adventuring to the past. Illustrated by Elio Moavero and myself, the comics were printed monthly in Rolling Stone, and sold out as a limited edition Cactus Jack pack that included a printed copy of the full story.
Charly Bliss: Percolator
Brief: New York natives Charly Bliss released a comic to accompany their 2017 album “Guppy”. Pulling together artists from around the world, they tasked each person to interpret a song from the album into a visual story.
Hey, Amateur!
Brief: A regular feature in the Black Crown Quarterly compendium, “Hey, Amateur!”Teaches readers just about anything there is to learn in this world. In this segment,Shelly Bond tasked myself and Leah Moore to teach the world about being a badassgoth!
Graflit: Urban Interiors
Brief: for the joint exhibition and anthology publication Graflit, I submitted a story that deals with ownership and identity as a universal constant.
Com!cs Portfolio
Brief: Six South African artists and two international artists were invited to create original comic panels for the production of a limited edition portfolio book in partnership with Strauss & Co. Being featured alongside names like Anton Kannemeyer and Bambi Kramer was a tremendous honour.
Brave New Joint
Brief: The visionary artist Dope Saint Jude invited me to contribute a comic to her incendiary album “Resilient” which has had multiple tracks featured on nearly every tv show of 2020! Catherine wrote and I drew.

Brief: I worked alongside Lauren Beukes, to contribute the abbreviated story of Ma-Brrr to a giant anthology featuring inspiring women from all over the world.
